Award Winning Sound

It is said, "Music is the language of the soul" and nothing could be truer for this Jazz Ensemble.  Since 2008, the band has received awards for its superb performances.  The band won Buffalo's Top Big Band Music Award four years in a row and was lauded with induction to the Hall of Achievement by the Buffalo Music Awards in 2010.  Remaining focused on delivering top notch performance, The Easy Street Big Band continues to live up to their reputation as an award winning ensemble.

Our Approach

Our Story

Band Song List

The Easy Street Big Band has an extensive song list comprised of many traditional swing era big band charts and vocals, like “In the Mood”, “String of Pearls”,
“Come Fly with Me”, and “Over the Rainbow”. The sizable song list often changes by adding new contemporary selections from today’s artists like Michael Buble and Queen Latifah. However, our Traditional Big Band Era arrangements remain forever in our repertoire.
For Holiday concerts, we have a collection of over 50 Holiday selections! Some of the more recent tunes added to our repertoire are composed or arranged by some of our own band members, Richard Goss and Wayne Blumrick.

Previous Venues

The Easy Street Big Band has performed for countless occasions all over Western New York. From private parties to public concerts, we have entertained at
various venues that include municipal parks, outdoor gazebos, weddings, anniversaries, theater stages, churches and schools. In 2025 we were enthusiastically received at the the Olcott Jazz Trail.
